The African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) is proud to announce our 2nd AAFCA Afro-Latino Short Film Competition.
This competition offers a vital platform for emerging creatives to explore significant themes and issues impacting Afro-Latino identity through original short films. Submissions should aim to spotlight and offer solutions for important topics such as incarceration, environmental sustainability, oppression, race and fascism, the arts, animal rights, systemic corruption, and immigration.
Our goal for this festival is to utilize short-form cinematic works to illuminate Afro-Latino identities both in the U.S. and internationally. The Afro-Latino community is vast and diverse, and we believe that the art of filmmaking can foster connections among its talented creatives and filmmakers.
